This could equally have been a post for the My Favourite Riddims regular, cos the ‘G-String’ riddim is a big one from 2002, but Delly Ranks and Mega Banton definitely hold one of the best cuts with ‘Pon di Corner’. Ignore the chorus, this is all about the verses, both their flows perfectly complementing the dark riddim, particularly Delly’s. Mega Banton never really got the respect he deserved as an MC, and even if this isn’t near his best tunes, it’s still an indication of the man’s underrated talent.
