Great British label Fashion Records – responsible for some of the UK’s finest reggae records, from ‘Cockney Translation’ to ‘The Stopper’ – is finally getting its back catalogue digitally re-released. They’re starting out by releasing 10 of their albums, including the brilliant Heat, Rumble in the Jungle and a clash between Tippa Irie & Papa San.
They’ve given us a Daddy Freddy track from 1989, taken from their brand new compilation Fashion in Fine Style: Significant Hits Vol 1, a collection of 20 of their best hits, from Top Cat to Janet Lee Davis.
