Shimmy Shimmy is the UK’s only dedicated reggae/dancehall/bashment/soca/caribbean culture blog. Established in 2007 by Jim Bones & The Large, we are also a DJ collective, have a clothing label & publish No Ice Cream Sound.
>>>> We’ve supported a huge list of dancehall talent, from David Rodigan to Sticky, and started out as residents at The Heatwave’s Hot Wuk night. Check our events page for past & future.
>>>> We have a high design, limited edition print dancehall zine, No Ice Cream Sound, now on its third issue, that is available in over 15 different shops on 4 continents: from New York to Tokyo to Helsinki to Rio De Janeiro.
>>>>Our T-shirt line launched in September 2010, following up with 5 new designs for 2011 which are now available online, and in select stores in London, New York and Tokyo, and have been spotted on Serocee, Toddla T and Mosca.
>>>> The Large also forms part of Style & Swagger (NTS) and is a resident DJ at Hipsters Don’t Dance.
